Kimball, Daniel Moses

Edmonson ? Funeral services for Dan. M. Kimball, 80, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Garland Street Church of Christ in Plainview with Russell Harris, minister, and Roger Craiker, minister of Kress Church of Christ, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview.

Mr. Kimball died at 4:02 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2003, in Community Hospital in San Angelo.

He was born Aug. 14, 1922, in the Runningwater Community west of Plainview. He was a farmer and also had an electrical repair and service business in Edmonson.

He was a former Edmonson fire chief, city alderman and was the current president of the Edmonson Lions Club. He was a member of Kress Church of Christ and an active community leader, electrical and general handyman.

He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.

On Dec. 20, 1946, he married Ruth Martin in Plainview.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Greg Patridge of Lockney; two sisters, Catherine Thomas of Berkley, Calif., and Jean Martin of Lubbock; a sister-in-law, Mildred Ruth Kimball of Amarillo; two grandchildren, Chelsea Webb and husband, Mike, of Lockney, and Lance Patridge and wife, Sheilah, of Lubbock; and a great-granddaughter, Korleigh Webb of Lockney.

The family suggests memorials to Edmonson Community Center or a children?s home.
