Obituary

Memorial services for Jim Keys, 55, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church Chapel with Dr. Max Browning, pastor, officiating. His body was cremated. Wood-Dunning Funeral Home is handling arrangements. He died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at Covenant Hospital in Plainview. Mr. Keys was born Aug. 31, 1946, in Lubbock. He grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School, having worked at a flower shop. After high school he worked at greenhouses and flower shops in Lubbock. He had been manager of Sam Ribble Flower Shop #2 in Lubbock. Upon returning to Plainview, he worked with his father at Arch Keys Flowers until 1994. Since then he worked for Wal-Mart in the Plainview store. Survivors include his parents, Archie and Mary Keys of Plainview; three daughters, Kelli Douglas of Lubbock, Kassidi Rushing of Plainview and Kim Keys of Sioux City, Iowa; one sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Doug Hanners of Austin; and five grandchildren.
