Obituary

A private family memorial for Donald Cliff Kersh, 64, of Lometa will be held at a later date. Mr. Kersh died Friday, June 3, 2011, in Lometa. He was born March 5, 1947, in Plainview to Geneva and Joy Kersh. He grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School in 1965. He received a bachelor's degree in agriculture education from Tarleton State University in 1969. He was a self-employed metal building contractor and cattleman. Survivors include his parents; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kay Kersh of Lometa and Jodi and John Jeffords of Euless; a son and daughter-in-law, Cody and Becca Kersh of Austin; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron and Nancy Kersh of Elizabethtown, Ken., and Karnald and Lisa Kersh of Plainview; four grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews. A brother, Arnald Kersh, is deceased.
