Obituary

Memorial services for James "Jim" Kennon, 70, will be at 4 p.m. Monday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Bruce Green officiating. Arrangements are with Bartley Funeral Home. Mr. Kennon died Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at his residence. He was born Feb. 16, 1939, in Hobbs, N.M., to Julian and Hedwig Kennon. He married Sondra Bond on Dec. 14, 1960, in Plainview. He worked for Hutcherson Air Service for 47 years as an A&P mechanic. He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Survivors include his wife; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Stephen Craig and Jennifer Kennon of Lake Jackson and James Kevin Kennon of Norfolk, Va.; one daughter, Doneice Kennon Perry of Amarillo; one brother and sister-in-law, Carlton Noble and Charlotte Kennon of Amarillo; and five grandchildren
