Funeral servcies for Thomas W. Kemp, 78, of Idalou, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with Russell Harris, minister of Garland Street Church of Christ, officiating.
Masonic graveside rites will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.
Mr. Kemp died at 8:40 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29, 2003, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born March 3, 1925, in Sylvester. He graduated from Sweetwater High School and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He attended Texas Tech University.
He married Lois Marie Tyler on Sept. 11, 1948, in Lubbock. They lived in Norwalk, Calif., and came to Plainview in 1959. He owned and operated Bulldog 66 service station and was a custom farmer. He moved to Idalou in 1973, retiring in 1996 due to health.
He was a 32nd-degree Mason.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jimmy Kemp of Lockney and Larry Kemp of Arlington; two sisters, Gloria Shami of Hurst and Ina Shreiber of Irving; and eight grandchildren.
