Funeral services for Stanley Royal Keen, 82, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lemons Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Keen died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at Plainview Healthcare Center. He was born Aug.16, 1927, in O'Donnell to William Roy Keen and Gracie Lee Edwards. He lived in Anton and moved to Plainview in 1942. He served in the U.S. Army, enlisting in 1946. He married Alta May Dowdy in 1953. He was a self-employed truck driver, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Survivors include a stepson, Robert Phelps of Plainview; three brothers, Harold Keen and Mearl Keen, both of Plainview, and Lee Keen of Lubbock; sisters, Juanita Vinson of Plainview and Betty Lou Langford of Liberal, Kan.; four granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His parents; his wife; a son, Stanley Wayne Keen; four brothers, Woodrow Keen, Raymond Keen, William Roy Keen Jr. and Doyce Keen; and two sisters, Beatrice Davidson and Johnnie May Bownds, are deceased.
