Obituary

Funeral services for Doyce Keen, 71, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Colonial Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Malcom, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park. Mr. Keen died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at his residence. He was born July 17, 1934, in Anton and married Mary Reed on Sept. 3, 1954. He was a cement contractor from 1962 until retiring in 1991. Mr. Keen was a member of Colonial Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Sherry Leatherwood, Sharrion Sims and Tammye Raymer, all of Plainview; four brothers, Lee Keen of Lubbock and Stanley Keen, Harold Keen and Mearle Keen, all of Plainview; two sisters, Juanita Vinson of Plainview and Betty Lou Lanford of Liberal, Kan.; eight grandchildren, Kyle Leatherwood, Tory Leatherwood, Doyce Leatherwood, Krystal Sims, Jeanna Sims, Jessie Sims, Devin Sims and Ashley Raymer; and five great-grandchildren, Brett Leatherwood, Braylee Leatherwood, Trinity Owens, Nicolas Leatherwood and Bentley Leatherwood. His parents, Roy and Gracie Keen; three brothers; two sisters; and a grandson, Jacob, are deceased.
