Keels, Talmadge, Mrs. (Nina Lasley Brown)
Services for Nina Lasley Keels, 75, of Lubbock will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2006 in Sanders Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. in the Plainview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
She died on December 17, 2006.
Nina was born September 23, 1931 in Springfield, Colorado to Floyd and Anna Mildred Lasley. She was one of twenty children. She married J.D. Brown on May 25, 1947 and moved to Plainview. She later married Talmadge Keels and moved to Lubbock in 1968. She and her husband operated Keels and Company Printing, later known as Midtown Press. She retired in 1993.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1992; a son, James Dennis Brown; three sisters and six brothers.
Survivors include a daughter, Shari Lusk; two grandsons, Nathan Lusk and wife, Sara; Jason Lusk and wife, Liz; and the light of her life, great granddaughter, Bethani; six brothers, Gale, Joe, Ted, Loyd, Glen and Robert Lasley; four sisters, Ellen Wallace, Greta Lewis, Vera Kersting and Betty Bristol.
