Obituary

Graveside services for Robert Jones Jr., 42, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Hale Center Cemetery with the Rev. C.L. Davis of Tulsa, Okla., officiating. Burial will be by Freeman-Abell Funeral Home. Mr. Jones died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, in Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. He was born July 9, 1963, to Robert Sr. and Bessie Lee Jones, was raised in Hale County and graduated from Plainview High School in 1982. He married Rosemary Diane Scrogum on Aug. 4, 1986, in Marshall. He was in the Marine Reserves and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife; five children, Shaarde, Robert Anthony, LeKae, Deston and Tayraun Jones, all of Amarillo; two brothers, Rick Jones of Plainview and Torlan Lee Jones of Hanover, Pa.; three sisters, Rhonda Jones of Carrollton, Dessie Johnson of Rochester, N.Y., and Tonia Jones of San Diego, Calif.; and a close friend, Darla Robertson of Dallas. His father, Robert Jones Sr., died in 1988. Viewing will be from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday at Freeman-Abell Funeral Home.
