Obituary

A come-and-go memorial gathering for Edward "Ed" Jones, 70, will be from 4-7 p.m. Saturday in the home of Michael and Denise Jones, 2202 W. 11th. Arrangements were by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Jones died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at his residence. He was born Nov. 30, 1939, in Houston to Frank and Pearl Clark Jones. In 1990 he moved to Plainview where he married Sherry Block on June 17, 2002. He was a truck driver. Survivors include his wife; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Billy Jack Parker of Kress and Michael and Denise Jones of Plainview; two daughters and a son-in-law, Tanya Jones of Odessa and Samantha and Justin Casarez of Lamesa; an adopted daughter and son-in-law, Cher and Randy Wilson of Plainview; one son-in-law, David Block and his wife, Faye, of Edmonson; one brother, Tommy Parker of Freeport; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A daughter, Cindy Ann Jones Block, is deceased. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
