Jones, Dent Oran, Mrs. (Mary Nell Robertson)

Funeral services for Mary Nell Jones, 87, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Ninth and Columbia Street Church of Christ with Colquitt Nash, minister, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jones died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001, in IHS Heritage Home of Plainview.

She was born May 12, 1913, in Bishop. She moved to the Happy Union community in 1918 and to a farm northeast of Plainview in 1947.

On Sept. 8, 1934, she married Dent Jones in Hale County. He died Aug. 20, 1996.

She was a member of Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ and had taught a Bible class. She and her husband held Sunday services at IHS until 1987.

Survivors include a son, Ken Jones of Plainview; two sisters, Madelyne Brown of Plainview and Mildred Pruitt of Benson, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Rick Jones of Lubbock, Tim Jones of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Cristi Blackwell of Burkburnett; and four great-grandchildren.

Three brothers and one sister are deceased.
