Obituary

Katie Lee Johnson, 90, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011, in Olton. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2011, in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Jim Ritter officiating. Services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2011, at the funeral home. Katie was born to Roy and Lottie Carson on Aug. 13, 1920, in Stamford, Texas. She married J.L. Johnson Jr. on Feb. 12, 1938, in Hamilton County, Texas. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, J.L. Johnson Jr.; her parents, Roy and Lottie Carson; one son, John Roy Johnson; and one sister, Wanda Lee Croff. She is survived by two sons, Jerry Johnson and his wife, Sharon, of Plainview and Tim Johnson and his wife, Sue, of Halfway, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Margaret Johnson of Plainview; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
