Obituary

ABERNATHY - Funeral services for Earline Johnson, 81, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Abernathy First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ron Kelley and the Rev. John Lowrie officiating. Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery by Abell Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnson died Thursday, June 27, 2002, in Lubbock. She was born Feb. 11, 1921, in Memphis, Texas. She moved to Abernathy in 1955. She previously had lived in Hico and Hale Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Annette Johnson of Abernathy; a sister, Irene Loyd of Silverton; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A daughter, Edith Howard, died in 1982.
