Jimenez, Raymundo G. (Juanita S.)

Funeral services for Juanita S. Jimenez, 80, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerard Kenney, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Lemons Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Jimenez died at 1 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2003, at Prairie House Living Center.

She was born Aug. 29, 1922, in Mission.

She married Raymundo G. Jimenez on Aug. 4, 1945, in Mission.

Mrs. Jimenez graduated from Mission High School. She moved to West Texas in 1948 where she lived in Lockney and Plainview for 55 years.

She worked for Lockney General Hospital, Heritage Home and Plainview High School before retiring.

Mrs. Jimenez was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Guadalupanas Society.

Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Teresa Jimenez and Oralia Jimenez, both of Plainview, and Elvira Jimenez, Joaquina Womack and Aurelia Rogers, all of Lubbock; one son, Sammy Jimenez of Lubbock; two brothers, Cresencio Salinas and Elias Salinas Jr., both of Mission; three sisters, Isidora Garcia, Guadalupe Salinas and Antonia Salinas, all of Mission; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family suggest memorials to Hospice Hands of West Texas, 305 N. Main Lockney, TX 79241.
