Jernigan, Bill, Mrs. (Evelyn Burch)
Evelyn Jernigan, 79, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct 10, in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Jernigan was born on May 27, 1936 to Alfred Eugene & Carmie Bliss Burch in Butler, Oklahoma. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1954. She married Bill Jernigan on February 9, 1955 in Clovis N.M. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2014. Her love for her family was beyond doubt and unconditional. Mrs. Jernigan is survived by her daughter: Lisa Jernigan; her son: Eric Jernigan and wife Cindy of Afton; one sister: Louise Frazier of Butler, Oklahoma; two grandsons: Grayson Graham and Jordan Jernigan and two step-grandchildren: April Fortenberry and Michael Fortenberry. She was preceded in death by her parents; Alfred and Carmie Burch, and three brothers; Doyle, Darwin and Eugene Burch. Condolences may be made at www.kornerstonefunerals.com.
