Funeral services for Zola Fern Jackson, 69, will be at 2 p.m. today in Lemons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Lance Cypert, pastor of First Baptist Church of Quitaque, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jackson died at 9:50 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2001, in Quitaque.

She was born May 27, 1931, in Roosevelt, Okla., the daughter of the late Buster and Goldie Haney. She moved from Roosevelt to Friona as a young girl and attended Friona schools. She moved to Plainview where she lived for 30 years before moving to Quitaque in 1976. She was a Baptist.

On Feb. 18, 1950, she married Edward Henry Jackson in Clovis, N.M. He died Sept. 16, 1999.

Survivors include one daughter, Cathy Purcell of Quitatue; two sons, Gary Jackson of Plainview and Samuel Jackson of Fort Worth; two brothers, Gail Haney of Plainview and Roy Haney of Tampico, Ill.; two sisters, Marinne Jack of Paris, Texas and Doris Dorsett of Santa Rosa, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A son, Troy Jackson, and a brother, Lavon Haney, are deceased.
