Obituary

Evelyn Johnson Inman died on Dec. 3, 2014, at the Plainview Healthcare Center after a brief illness. She was born on May 23, 1919, to Earl and Mary Block Johnson. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1937 and married Alvin (Hal) Inman later that year. After World War II the couple made their home in Plainview. She worked as a bookkeeper in their cement business and enjoyed many years as a homemaker. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Hal; her parents, Earl and Mary Johnson; brothers Wayne Johnson and John L.B. Johnson; sisters Earlyne Childers and Wilhelmena Babcock, as well as her longtime special friend Mary Ann Serna. Evelyn's graveside service will be in Plainview Memorial Park Cemetery at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 5, 2014. Services are under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. She suggested memorials be given to the Children's Home of Lubbock.
