Obituary

Nell Ingram, 88, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, in First United Methodist Church Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Taylor and Dr. Max Browning officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, at the funeral home. Nell was born Aug. 27, 1922 in Matador. She grew up in Flomot and graduated Flomot High School in 1941. She attended Wayland Baptist College and West Texas State College. She married Jack Ingram on March 25, 1943 in Matador. They lived in Clarksville, Tenn., for two years before she moved to Plainview and started working for Montgomery Ward for three years while her husband served in the U.S. military. She also worked for Franklin Ready To Wear for 12 years. They moved to Dimmitt and farmed for 25 years. They moved back to Plainview in 1991. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Plainview and the Wesley Sunday School Class. Her husband, Jack, passed away May 10, 2005. Survivors include one brother, R.G. Morris and his wife, Twilla, of Petersburg; one sister, Ruby Owen and her husband, Homer, of Waco; and seven nephews and their families.
