Obituary

Memorial services for Perry Allen Hurt, 66, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Lemons Memorial Chapel with Clifton Jernigan officiating. Arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Hurt died at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, in IHS Heritage Home of Plainview. He was born Jan. 16, 1935, in Plainview where he grew up and graduated from high school. He served with the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1958. He attended Waxahachie Bible College and returned to Plainview in 1993. He was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include one brother, Bobby Hurt of Stratford; three sisters, Lena Woodall and Jo Ann Cox, both of Plainview, and Erma Carroll of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.
