Obituary

Services for Della Lue Hughes, 99, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Lemons Funeral Home. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Hughes died Tuesday, March 29, 2005, in Willis. She was born March 9, 1906, in Dickens County to Louis and Myrtle McCarty. She married Marion Alfred Hughes in Hart in 1924. She was a member of the Littlefield Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Teta and Gordon Kirtley; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
