Obituary

Services for Donald Huffaker, 70, of Abernathy will be at 2 p.m. today at Abernathy First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Currie officiating.

Burial will follow in Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home.

He died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1999, at his home.

He was born Aug. 3, 1929, in Tahoka. He married Lloydine "Dean" Edwards on Oct. 28, 1948, in Wolfforth. He moved to Hale County in 1954 from Wolfforth. He was a lifetime member of the Abernathy First United Methodist Church. He was owner and director of City Gin. He coached Little League baseball. He was a Hale County 4-H Swine Leader for 21 years and was a director on the Hale County Stock Show Board.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Rodney of Lubbock; two daughters, Donna Brauchi of Pampa and Melinda Horsford of Hale Center; a brother, Roger of Weatherford; and six grandchildren.
