Hudgins, Carmel

Funeral services for Carmel Hudgins, 85, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in 11th and Amarillo Street Church of Christ with Lewis Senter officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mr. Hudgins died at 1:37 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2003, in Floydada Rehab and Care Center.

He was born April 6, 1918, in the Prairieview Community. He was a self-employed water well driller and a lifelong resident of the Plainview area.

He married Evelyn Louise Taylor on July 30, 1938, in Vernon. She died Dec. 4, 1997.

Survivors include two daughter, Joyce Senter of Halfway and DeLories Skaggs of Plainview; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Two brother and two sisters also are deceased.
