Obituary

Funeral services for Geneva Tyler Huckabee, age 77, of Plainview, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, in Memorial Chapel of Lemons Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Huckabee passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, in Plainview. Geneva was born on April 27, 1927, in Turkey to Grady and Linnie D. George Jackson and grew up in Turkey. She married Jack Tyler on April 18, 1942, in Silverton. They lived in Quitaque for 28 years before moving to Plainview in 1970. Jack preceded her in death on June 3, 1978. She married Roy Huckabee on June 27, 1981, in Plainview. Roy passed away on Nov. 5, 1992. Geneva worked in the Plainview Hospital for 19 years before retiring. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Jack; her second husband, Roy; a brother, Clyde Jackson; and a sister, Ima Jean Solomon. Geneva is survived by her two sons, Jackie Don Tyler and wife Jerry Beth of Plainview and Darrell Tyler and wife Brenda of Plainview; three grandsons, Jimmy Don Tyler and wife Shayla, Matt Tyler and wife Carolyn, Bobby Tyler and wife Paige; three great-granddaughters, Amber, Hayley, and Megan Tyler; a sister, Bea Tilley of Amarillo; a brother, Buddy Jackson of Mesa, Ariz., and several nieces and nephews.
