Obituary

Funeral services for Maxine Hosier, 100, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hale Center Church of Christ with Silas Short, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Hale Center Cemetery by Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center. Mrs. Hosier died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006, at Bentonville Manor in Bentonville, Ark. She was born Feb. 17, 1906, in Hico to Ruth and J.V. Hail Sr. She married William Sherman Hosier on Dec. 24, 1926, in Plainview. She lived in Hale Center from 1922-2000. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Hale Center for 84 years. Survivors include two sons and two daughters-in-law, Joe Dell and Bobby Hosier of Bentonville, Ark., and Vaughn Allen and Sherry Hosier of Kaufman; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Her husband; one son, Billy Ray Hosier; six brothers, J.V. Hail Jr., Mike Hail, Billy Hail, Worth Hail, Kenneth Hail and Keith Hail; and three sisters, Christine Teague, JoAnn Stringer and Doll Federick, are deceased. The family suggests memorials to Hale Center Church of Christ or a favorite charity.
