Obituary

Funeral services for Janis L. Horton, 81, of Plainview will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Garland Street Church of Christ with J.W. Hamby officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Bartley Funeral Home. Mrs. Horton died Sunday, April 25, 2010, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. She was born March 12, 1929, to Clyde A. Davis and Orpha Mae Cox Davis in Baylor County. She was a beautician and a member of Garland Street Church of Christ. She had lived in Plainview since 1964, moving from Dimmitt. Survivors include one son, Billy Clyde Baker of Crane; six daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Weldon McCutchen of Sabinal, Sandra Taylor of Crane, Kathy and Joe Riddle of Harvey, La., Donna Mitchell of Lockhart, Linda Horton of Austin and Lisa and Ron Horton Brauer of Lubbock; three brothers and sisters-in-law, her twin Leroy and Dolores Davis of Monument, N.M., C.A. and Martha Anne Davis of Lubbock and Richard O. and Martha Anne Davis of Crosby; 15 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
