Obituary

Ozzie Dean Hornsby, 81, of Lubbock passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2009. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 20 at Sunset Church of Christ. Interment will follow in the Hale Center Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, January 19 at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Hornsby

Ozzie Dean Hornsby was born on April 22, 1927 in Evant, Hamilton County, to the late O.O.O. and Gertrude (Christian) Newton. She attended school in Abernathy. She and I. D. Hornsby were married on March 15, 1946 in Hamilton County. He preceded her in death on August 31, 2005. Ozzie Dean was a wonderful homemaker and loved to do needlework and embroidery for her family. She had a quiet, tender temperament about her that was evidence of her faith in the Lord. She was a longtime Lubbock resident and belonged to Sunset Church of Christ for many years.

Ozzie Dean is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and was also preceded in death by her three sisters.
