Obituary

Funeral services for Anna Maude Hopper, 94, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Northwest Church of Christ in Plainview with J Henderson officiating. Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy. The family will receive friends following the service. Mrs. Hopper died Friday, July 2, 2010, in Lubbock. She was born June 24, 1916, in Crosby County. She married R.N. (Bob) Hopper on Dec. 24, 1937, in Lubbock. He died Aug. 20, 1995. They moved in December 1943 to Petersburg where they farmed and raised their family. In 1975 they moved to Plainview where she lived until moving to Lubbock in 2007. She was a member of the Texas Extension Homemakers of America in Floyd County and Northwest Church of Christ. Survivors include two sons, Norman Hopper and wife Marge of Lubbock and Ronnie Hopper and wife Nena of Petersburg; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
