Graveside services for former Plainview resident May Jo Holloway, 85, of Midland will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Plainveiw Memorial Park with Ron Huckeby officiating.

Burial arrangements are by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.

Mrs. Holloway died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, in Morning Glory Adult Care Facility in Midland.

She was born March 14, 1918, in Plainview, the daughter of the late J.M. and Lula May Braselton Waller.

She graduated from Plainview High School in 1936 and worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 41 years, retiring in 1978.

She was a member of First Baptist Church since 1929 and a member of the Pastor's Class and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She moved to Midland in 1998.

On Sept. 24, 1939, she married Alton Kay Holloway in Plainview. He died March 21, 1992.

Survivors include one sister, Carolyn Dixon of Midland; a brother, Richard "Dick" Waller of Palm Desert, Calif.; several nieces, nephews and special friends, Betty Rieman, Marjorie Clark and Fraulein Green, all of Plainview.

Three brothers, Murray, Jim Ed and Wayne Waller, and four sisters, Marguerite Pinkard, Ella Marie Baron, Katherine Wheeler and Patricia Ann Waller, are deceased.
