Holcomb, Billy Joe

Graveside services for Billy Joe Holcomb, 61, of Magdelena, N.M., were at 1 p.m. today in Plainview Cemetery by Wallace Funeral Home of Tulia.

Mr. Holcomb died May 21, 2003, in Albuquerque, N.M.

He was born Feb. 3, 1942 in Abilene. He attended Tulia elementary and junior high schools and graduated from Seminole High School in 1960. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1965 and worked for Mountain Bell and AT&T for 23 years, retiring in 2000. He had lived in Magdelena for the past 15 years.

Survivors include his wife, Judy; 11 children and three grandchildren.

His father, Calvin, D. Holcomb, died in 1975 and his mother, Genella Fort Holcomb, died in 2001.
