Funeral services for Evangelina "Eva" Castillo Hipolito, 87, of Hale Center will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lemons Memorial Chapel with Victor Hernandez and Gilberto Vera, pastors, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Hipolito died Monday, May 16, 2011, in Hale Center. She was born May 2, 1924, in Round Rock to Andres Castillo and Gertrude Dela Rosa Castillo. She married Felix Hipolito on Oct. 7, 1947, in Lamesa. She was a member of the Church of God of the First Born in Lamesa. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Gloria Rodriguez Jimenez and Dora Jimenez and her husband, Joe, all of Hale Center, and Cindy Vela of Lubbock; a sister, Rosa Rocha of Lubbock; 42 grandchildren; 124 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Her parents; a son, Joe Rodriguez Jr.; a daughter, Josie Solis; three brothers; and four sisters are deceased.
