Obituary

Alejandro "Alex" Hinojosa, 65, of Plainview passed away Sunday, April 20, 2008, at his residence in Plainview. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Hinojosa was born Oct. 13, 1942, in Bishop, Texas, to Reyes and Susana Hinojosa. He married Chaunpit Pete Srivorakan on April 9, 1968, in Thailand. Mr. Hinojosa graduated high school in Premont and served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1963-72. He retired from Pioneer Hybrid Seed Company after 23 years. He is survived by his wife, Pete Hinojosa of Plainview; two sons, Andy Hinojosa of Plainview and Michael Hinojosa and wife Maria of Victoria; one daughter, Mickie Mitchell and husband Ben of Plainview; two brothers, Noe Hinojosa and wife Rosie of Plainview and Daniel Hinojosa and wife Diane of Petersburg; one sister, Alda Emma Lombard and husband Larry of Edmond, Okla.; and four grandchildren, Jacob Hinojosa, Phoenix Moon Mitchell, Amy Rose Mitchell and Sophia Grace Hinojosa.
