Funeral services for Goldie Hillman, 84, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with Silas Short and the Rev. Bob O?Daniel officiating.
Burial will be in Hale Center Cemetery by Freeman-Abell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hillman died Monday, April 28, 2003, in South Haven Residential Care Home in Lubbock.
She was born Nov. 23, 1918, in Hollis, Okla. She moved to Hale Center from Petersburg in 1975 and worked as a volunteer for the nursing home, Hale County Farm and Ranch Museum and Hale Center Senior Citizens. She was an artist and preserved family memories in her oil paintings.
On Dec. 23, 1937, she married Edward Ray Hillman. He is deceased.
Survivors include one sister, Zelma Davis of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.
Four sisters and four brothers are deceased.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home and suggests memorials to Hospice of Lubbock or Hale Center Senior Citizens Association.
