Obituary
Bradley Scott Herrington, 43, of Amarillo, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006. He was born Feb. 15, 1962, to Eddie Joe Herrington and Ella Sue Moore Herrington in Plainview, Texas. He graduated from Plainview High School. Later he worked many years as a firefighter and currently worked as a fire suppression specialist. Brad was a "Gem of a Person," helping out and doing anything for anyone. He was always there to help anytime anyone needed it. Brad loved his daughter and entire family and he never forgot to say "I Love You." He knew how to do many things and if he did not know how then he taught himself how so he could get the job done. He also had a love for his Harley-Davidson and all of his riding friends made through the many years. Brad was always there if you were having a hard time, to help pick you back up and he always bounced back from his own downfalls stronger and wiser. He was a very loving and caring person and wanted to help others to the point that at his death he donated his organs so they could be used to help and save other people. Brad is survived by his parents, Eddie and Sue Herrington of Plainview; daughter, Meaghan Herrington of Amarillo; brother, Bryan Herrington of Plainview; partner, Linda Floyd; aunt, Mary Porter and husband Jud of Denver, Colo.; uncle, Bill Herrington and wife Sue of Gainesville, Texas; extended family, Justin Chennault, Heidi Smart and Justin Bye, all of Amarillo; numerous cousins; and many friends. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at the First Christian Church in Plainview with Dr. Max Browning officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. Donations may be made to Happy Feet, Soroptimist International of Plainview, 1616 Dallas, Plainview, Texas 79072.
