Obituary

Graveside services for Raymundo Hernandez, 71, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Plainview Cemetery with the Rev. Gerard Kenney, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Joe Barrera, pastor of Jericho Fellowship. Burial will be by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mr. Hernandez died at 11:53 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, in Prairie House Living Center. He was born Feb. 19, 1930 in Winter Haven, TX and married Petra Hernandez. She died July 1, 2000. He moved to Plainview in 1957 and was an independent truck driver. Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth Hernandez of Plainview and Susanna Almendarez of Lubbock; a brother, Benito Herrera of Lubbock; two sisters, Josie Lopez and Maria Ramirez, both of Plainview; and 10 grandchildren.
