Obituary

Funeral Mass for Marcelino Hernandez, 71, was at 2 p.m. today at San Jose Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim McCartney officiating. Burial was in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Hernandez died Friday, March 20, 2009, in Lubbock. He was born June 2, 1937, in San Marcos to Juan and Victoria Hernandez. He married Ofelia Muniz on May 1, 1960. He was a member of San Jose Catholic Church for many years. Survivors include one son, Juan Hernandez of Lockney; three daughters, Susie Rocha of Levelland and Sylvia Hernandez and Julie Hernandez, both of Plainview; four brothers, Domingo Hernandez, Ralph Hernandez and Felix Hernandez, all of Lockney, and Mario Hernandez of Lubbock; three sisters, Dominga Sustaita and Juanita Palomin, both of Lockney, and Nancy Ochoa of Mesquite; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren. His parents and one brother, Guillermo Hernandez, are deceased.
