Obituary

Funeral Mass for Jesus Hernandez, 74, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Raymundo Manriquez, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Hernandez died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born Feb. 21, 1932, in Celya, Mexico, to Jose Maria Hernandez and Maria Guerrero Hernandez. He was a farmer in the Edmonson area for many years until his retirement and a longtime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Lila Trevino of Edmonson; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Jesus Hernandez Jr., and Jorge Hernandez, both of Victoria, Joe and Esther Hernandez of Houston, Mauricio and Margarita Hernandez of Plainview and David and Jennifer of Atoka, Tenn; four brothers; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. His parents and one brother are deceased.
