Hernandez, Hector

ABERNATHY-Funeral Mass for Hector Hernandez, 20, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Isidore?s Catholic Church with the Rev. Jesse Cruz, associate pastor of St. Elizabeth?s Catholic Church in Lubbock, officiating.

Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery by Abell Funeral Home.

Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today in the same church.

Mr. Hernandez died Sunday, June 18, 2000, from injuries received in a one-vehicle accident near Crosbyton.

He was born Nov. 28, 1979, in Lockney. He was born Nov. 28, 1979, in Lockney. He moved to Abernathy from Del Rio in 1995 and graduated from Abernathy High School. He worked at Wal-Mart in Lubbock and was a member of Isidore?s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his parents, Atanacio and Gloria Hernandez of Abernathy; five brothers, Atanacio Jr.,Ezekiel, Santos, Abraham and Saul Hernandez, all of Abernathy; and his grandmother, Teodora Martinez of Ciudad Acuna, Mexico.
