Obituary

Dewey Rockford Henry, Jr., 69, of Plainview passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015. The family will have a viewing and visitation on Sunday, September 28, 2015 from 3 to 6 P.M. at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Dewey was born on July 23, 1946 in Plainview, Texas to Dewey and Violet Henry. He attended schools in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School. He served in the U.S. Navy for 5 years. After his military service, he returned home and worked in construction with his father. They also had a house moving company. He later worked at the Prison for several years before owning and operating the Plainview Bowling Center. He retired in 2008. Dewey was a lifetime member of the V.F.W., and former member of the Elks Lodge.

He married Ann Perkins on August 14, 1987.

Dewey was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild, Kaylib Henry.

Dewey is survived by his wife Ann Henry of Plainview; four children, Christina Leilani Baxter and husband Joshua of Garfield, Arkansas, Eureta Pualani Pledger and husband Rick of Denison, Amanda Leann Fincher of Plainview, Michael Allen Henry of Lubbock; one brother, Leroy Henry and wife Lanette of Plainview; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
