Obituary

Graveside services for John Nelson Henderson, 86, of Odessa will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2007, at Hale Center Cemetery with J. Henderson officiating. Arrangements are by Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview. Mr. Henderson died Monday, July 9, 2007, at the V.A. Medical Center in Big Spring, Texas. He was born Feb. 25, 1921, in Roscoe, Texas. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He farmed in the Hale Center area for years. He also worked as a roustabout in the Odessa area. Survivors include two daughters, Ora Jhonette Baglio of Corona, Calif., and Kathryn Posey of Odessa; one brother, Jim Henderson of Plainview; three sisters, Ida Shannon of Alabama, Ruby West of Odessa and Fanny Altenbaumer of Baytown; and two grandchildren, Christopher and Jennifer Posey of Odessa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Thursday before graveside services.
