Obituary

Services for Norma Helbert, 85, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Plainview with the Rev. Gerald Boerger, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center. Mrs. Helbert died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, at her residence. She was born April 13, 1919, in White Rock, Mariposa County, Calif., to Robert and Ethel DeMoss. She married U.V. Helbert in 1941 in Reno, Nev. He died Nov. 27, 1995. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Barbara Helbert of Brownwood and Gary and Deborah Helbert of Hale Center; one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Jerry Willis of Hale Center; four brothers, Glenn DeMoss, Ramon DeMoss, James Wesley DeMoss and Everett DeMoss; five sisters, Lola Hughes, Sophie Murdock, Hilda Seward, Beverly Gladney and Elzora Beghtel; 11 grandchildren, Scott and Marzee Gloyna, Paul and Rebecca Gloyna, Ginger and Gary Causey, Angela Willis, Rebekah Herrera, Mat and Melissa Helbert, Josh Helbert and Jeremy, Christopher, Derrick and Ashley Helbert; and 11 great-grandchildren, Austin and Jackson Gloyna, Blake and Emily Gloyna, Alex and Travis Causey, Jacob Mann, Macaela Herrera, Riley and Audrey Helbert and Sydny Helbert.
