Obituary

HALE CENTER - Funeral services for Harold Heath, 78, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Elton Wyatt of Lubbock officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Freeman-Abell Funeral home. Mr. Heath died at his residence on March 27, 2002. He was born Jan. 12, 1924, in Missouri. He graduated from Hale Center High School and served with the Army Air Corps from 1942-1945. He returned to Hale Center in 1959 and owned and operated Mayfield Spraying Service until retiring. He was a member of Masonic Lemond Lodge #832, Order of the Eastern Star Plainview Chapter #37, 32nd degree Scottish Rite, Khiva Shrine and First United Methodist Church. On Nov. 5, 1944, he married Pollyana Crawford in Pampa. Survivors include his wife; three daughters and a son-in-law, Kay McGaha of Paradise, Gail and Ronald North and Jana Kuss, all of Lubbock; two brothers, Gene Heath of Hale Center and Raymond Heath of Denver, Colo.; and four grandchildren, Reagan North, Jordan Kuss, Krista Talbott and Justin Fairrel. Brothers, Edward C. "Rocky" Heath and Robert Heath and two sisters, Frances McDowell and Opal Chisnal, are deceased. The family suggests memorials to Shriners Children?s Hospital or to a favorite charity.
