Obituary

Funeral services for Don Carrol Hayes, 74, of Plainview will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Northwest Church of Christ with Hugh Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Hayes died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, in Plainview. He was born May 17, 1937, in McKinney to Robert and Gertrude Hayes. He married Marcia Williamson on Sept. 25, 1957, in Clayton, N.M. He moved from Gunter to the Panhandle area in 1949, living in Plainview since 1964. He was a self-employed insurance agent and a member of Northwest Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife; one son and daughter-in-law, Kojak and Cindy Hayes of Channelview; one daughter, Brenda Dianne Hayes of Plainview; one grandson; one brother, Ron Hayes of Alabama; one sister, Melba Peacock of Colorado; one sister-in-law Reba Hayes of New Caney; and two great-grandsons.
