Obituary

Jo Nell Hatcher, 87, of Plainview passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at Plainview Health Care Center. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Elder Neil Billingsley will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Funeral service arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home. Visitation will be prior to the service from noon until 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, in the chapel. Jo Nell Hatcher was born in Silverton on June 2, 1926, to James and Neva (Welch) Shaver. She and J.L. Hatcher were married on Dec. 14, 1971, in Tulia. He preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1992. Jo Nell was a very devoted wife and mother. She was a member of Garland Street Church of Christ. Jo Nell is survived by her son, Don McDonald (Fr. John-Benedict) of Westwego, La.; her cousin, Brenda Patton of Silverton; and many, many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband J.L. Hatcher.
