Obituary

HALE CENTER - Services for Mary Ella Harrison, 85, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hale Center Church of Christ. Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery by Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center. Mrs. Harrison died Thursday, June 19, 2008, at her residence. She was born Sept. 7, 1922, in Becton. She graduated from New Deal High School in 1941 and attended Draughn's Business College. She married Rex Harrison on Dec. 11, 1945, in Lubbock. She was employed with the Hale Center Post Office for 27 years. Survivors include her husband; a son, Mike Harrison of Abernathy; a daughter, Marilyn Harrison of Hale Center; two brothers, Eddie Daugherty of Plainview and Lloyd Daugherty of Mineral Wells; and three grandchildren.
