Obituary

Funeral services for Marolyn R. Harrison, 60, of Hale Center will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Hale Center Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Hale Center. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Ms. Harrison died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, in Lubbock. She was born March 8, 1949, in Hale Center to Rex and Mary (Daugherty) Harrison. She was a longtime Hale Center resident and had retired from the U.S. Postal Service. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her father, Rex Harrison of Hale Center; a brother, Mike Harrison and his wife Ann of Abernathy; and three nephews. The family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , Memorial & Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
