Harkey, Bill, Mrs. (Ann)

Abernathy-- Graveside services for Ann Harkey, 78, of New Deal will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Abernathy Cemetery.

Burial is by Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy.

Mrs. Harkey died Friday, Jan. 23, 2004, in Lubbock.

She was born Sept. 20, 1925, in Providence, R.I. She married Bill Harkey Feb. 8, 1944, in Sekonk, Mass. She moved to New Deal in 1946.

She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Billy R. of New Deal, Wayne Harkey of Abernathy an Bryan Harkey of Petersburg; one daughter, Yvonne Griffis of New Deal; one brother, Robert Tierney of Riverside, R.I.; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will recieve friends at Abell Funeral Home, 411 16th Street, Abernathy, from 6-7 p.m. today. They suggest memorials to your favority charity.
