Graveside services for Rosa Hanvey, 84, of Plainview will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Rosa passed away on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, in Plainview. She was born in Glendale, Ariz., to William Jacob and Hester Lee Baker. She is survived by one son, Jay Vee Youngblood of Abernathy; six daughters, Bessie Jones and husband Sam of Lubbock, Cheryl Murry and husband Jerry of Plainview, Vicky Horton of Dallas, Barbara Crowmens and husband Richard of Atlanta, Texas, Rose Lee Lovell and husband Mike of Terrell and Susan Lovejoy of Sherman; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Hanvey; one daughter, Marie Peterson and one granddaughter, Trina Shirley.
