Funeral services for John Arnold ?Johnny? Hamilton, 55, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Lemons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Joe P. Weldon, pastor of Parkview Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mr. Hamilton died at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 1997, at his residence after an illness.

He was born Aug. 20, 1941, in Childress where he grew up and attended schools. He moved to Plainview in 1955 and worked as a truck driver for Jay Lines.

He attended the Assembly of God Church.

He married Fran Moczygemba on April 28, 1962 in Plainview.

Survivors include two daughters, Terri Taylor and Vicki Gatewood, both of Plainview; one son, Johnny Ray Hamilton of Amarillo; one brother, Bruce Hamilton of Tulia; four sisters, Linda Presley, Nancy Cox, Judy Shuping, all of Plainview, and Brenda Marshall of Tulia; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Butch Carter, J.T. Livesay, Edmon Garner, J.W. West, Sammy Pinkerton, and Ray Simoneau.
