Obituary

HALE CENTER - Funeral services for Laverne Hambrick, 48, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hale Center Church of Christ with James A. Whitehead Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Hale Center Cemetery by Freeman-Abell Funeral Home. Ms. Hambrick died Jan. 7, 2002, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. She was born Jan. 20, 1953, in Waxahachie. She graduated from Hale Center High School in 1972 and attended commercial Business College in Lubbock. She worked at Coy Transportation Services in Lubbock and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her mother, Corine Hambrick of Lubbock; two brothers, Larry Hambrick Sr. of Lubbock and Love Hambrick Jr. of Odessa; and seven nieces and three nephews.
