Obituary

Funeral services for Steven Hallcy, 40, of Austin, formerly of Plainview, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at United Baptist Church with the Rev. M.L. White officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Hallcy died Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, in Austin. He was born Aug. 27, 1970, in Abernathy to Larry Hallcy Sr. and Maggie Landrum. He grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School in 1988. He moved to Austin in 2008. Survivors include his mother; four brothers, Larry Don Hallcy Jr., Ricky Hallcy and Mark Hallcy, all of Plainview, and Lawrence Hallcy of Leander; and two sisters, Mary Hallcy and Lisa Hallcy of Plainview. His father, Larry Hallcy Sr.; a nephew, Tyran Julijion Hallcy; grandparents, Charlie and Ruby Hallcy and Mae Helen Neal; an uncle, Charles White; and several other aunts and uncles are deceased.
